Elaboration

Gerally speaking, RKNA favors symphonic progressive. We play a broad sampling of progressive genres, but tend to play very little from the Zeuhl and the progressive metal genres—but even those fields get some occasional airtime here. RKNA is not strictly and exclusively a progressive-only radio station. In fact some of the bands we favor—Pink Floyd, Rush, Supertramp, Radiohead, etc—are not prog bands in the strict sense. We play what we like to call "brain food." That is, rock music which is intelligent, sophisticated, and worthy of contemplation. We favor the progressive genre, but you'll sometimes hear tracks from other genres which are suitably nourishing for hungry, contemplative brains. If you're looking for music that is more intelligent, meaningful, and interesting than the fare of commercially-owned and operated radio stations, you've come to the right place.
